Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a hands-on Material Process Engineer to support rapid testing, process improvement, and R&D execution in the PDL. This person will work closely with a senior engineer on the floor, use data to identify process and product improvements, and help turn larger technical problems into repeatable, controlled process steps. The role will apply iterative design-of-experiments and build-test-learn methods to accelerate process and product development. This engineer will plan and execute laboratory- and pilot-scale experiments, define process parameters and acceptance criteria, and characterize raw materials, intermediate products, and finished products. They will analyze results, communicate findings through clear graphics and technical reports, and develop material specifications, process requirements, test plans, SOPs, work instructions, and process-control documentation. The ideal candidate has materials experience, hands-on laboratory or manufacturing exposure, and practical knowledge of powders, particles, graphite, fuels, compaction, or related advanced-materials processes. This person will also participate in hazard evaluations, safety and readiness reviews, and cross-functional collaboration with laboratory, engineering, manufacturing, quality, and safety stakeholders to move processes toward repeatable pilot-scale execution. This is on-site 5 days a week and pay ranges from 30-50/hr.
